Old Timers day June 2022. Retrospective look back. Rest In Peace brother Tracy168.

Taking the time to remember a great day last year, at the Old Timers Day reunion event. It was such a great day filled with joy and laughter as the writers from the 70s and the 80s enjoyed in one another's company. Seeing all of those writers hanging out in one location and talking about the good old days was a joy to be around. Seeing style writers in their element and being present in it and witnessing the love and respect that they all show to one another. Great to see and a great time was truly had. The high point of the day was when the legendary graffiti writer, TRACY 168 of the Wild Style Crew arrived on the scene. I watched as everyone's eyed him as he sat in the passenger seat of the car that he had arrived in. Seeing everyone greet him and show him love and shout his name to him. It was like watching a rock star. Tracy168 and I have a history of our own as I was put into the Wild Style crew by him in 1983. My first graffiti piece with a crew was done with him and Chi Chi 133 of the WANTED graffiti crew. I always felt proud as a graffiti writer to represent and put up the crew where ever I went and I went far. Lots of writers know Tracy most are from the 1970s. I don't hold that long of a connection but I've known him for many, many years. Like I said we have history, some of it good and some of it bad. So last year when I saw him I gave him a respectful and loving hug and hello greeting. I was filming the day just to record the old timers doing what they do best. Little did any of us know that in September of 2023 we would all lose a graffiti style writer that we all know and had so much love for. Tracy168 would pass due to an ill fated heart attack. The news of his passing was quite the shocker throughout the graffiti writhing culture. It vibrated from New York to Los Angeles, and to the UK, and many other parts. I was very lucky to have been recording that now historic day as that would be the last time that any of us would ever see him again. So as a retrospective of my dear old friend, I post this video that I filmed here on my blog page. Enjoy and continued blessings to you all. Peace.
